In 1993, Scabies tried starting a new band with guitarist Kris Dollimore (formerly of the Godfathers ). They could not find a singer, and instead decided to work with Vanian as a new incarnation of The Damned. This lineup also featured guitarist Alan Lee Shaw and bassist Moose Harris (formerly of New Model Army ), and recorded the 1995 studio album Not of This Earth , which featured a guest appearance by Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock . However, the album was licensed for release by Scabies against Vanian’s wishes, which lead to the end of this lineup.
