Alongside Wasting Light ‘ s release, the Foo Fighters released a rockumentary, directed by Academy Award-winner James Moll . The film, titled Back and Forth , chronicles the band’s career. Then current and past members, and producer Butch Vig, tell the story of the band through interviews. After debuting on March 15, 2011, at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas , it was released on DVD three months later.
