On March 26, 2020, Nine Inch Nails released Ghosts V: Together and Ghosts VI: Locusts , its tenth and eleventh studio albums and the sequels to their 2008 instrumental album Ghosts I–IV . The albums were released for free as a show of solidarity with the band’s fans during the COVID-19 pandemic .
