On 11 March 2018, the band announced that their eighth album will be released in October 2018. On 5 October 2018, Poets released their eighth album Ultraviolet , which once again hit the #1 position on the Finnish album chart. Two singles, “False Kings” and “Dancing on Broken Glass”, accompanied with music videos, were released prior to the album. On 27 August 2019, the band released (under their Remedy alter-ego Old Gods of Asgard) a single “Take Control” written especially for the video game Control , which also featured Ultraviolet ‘ s single “My Dark Disquiet”.
