Scheduled to come out around October 2001 – a 45 track box set of Nirvana rarities.
Then came another event in 1999 – a final ceremony of some sort on May 31st
In 1997 , Novoselic, Grohl and Love formed a company called Nirvana LLC to handle all Nirvana business.
By 1996 , the live album From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah had become Nirvana’s third straight album to come in at the top of the Billboard album charts
& the band also won a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album for From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah at the 1996 Grammy Awards
Instead though , DGC released the Nirvana MTV Unplugged performance as MTV Unplugged in New York back in November 1994
A public memorial service for Cobain was held on April 10, 1994 at the park in the Seattle Center – which drew in a crowd of roughly 7,000 mourners
Just 2 days later – on April 8 , Cobain was found dead due to having shot himself in the head with a shotgun at his home in Seattle. He’d actually died around 3 days prior to that & the whole time he’d been missing after suddenly leaving rehab.
