On 3 September, Robert Fripp said that his differences with Adrian Belew had been resolved and that, while there were “no current plans for [him] to come out with the current formation,” he could potentially be invited back to the band in the future.
On 1 September 2017, the band headlined the annual Pilton Party Held at Pilton Worthy Farm, home of Glastonbury Festival .
In September, frontman Mark “Barney” Greenway spoke to Australia’s Sticks for Stones condemning the announcement and stated that no material was being worked on at the moment but was in the “preliminary stages”.
The album was originally scheduled for worldwide release in 2017, but was postponed in lieu of Live in Chicago ; however, it was only released in Japan in September 2017, with a bonus disc with recordings from the band’s tour there in December 2015.
The North America leg of the tour kicked off in Salt Lake City, Utah, on 23 August, at the USANA Amphitheatre.
In August 2017, the band celebrated the 30th anniversary of Hysteria by releasing a collector’s edition box. The singles were also re-released on vinyl.
On 1 August 2017, Enter Shikari announced their new album The Spark with its lead single “Live Outside”. The album was released on 22 September.

That same month, it was announced that Napalm Death entered the studio to begin recording their sixteenth studio album for an early 2018 release.
