Alter Bridge took a break in 2009 following Creed’s reunion tour and new album. While Tremonti, Marshall, and Phillips were touring with Scott Stapp as Creed , Kennedy worked on his first solo album and began working extensively with Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver lead guitarist Slash , and later touring with Slash throughout 2010 and 2011 as his lead vocalist.
