Double lead singles ” Orphans ” and ” Arabesque ” were released on 24 October 2019 during the Annie Mac show on BBC Radio 1 . “Arabesque” was the first Coldplay song to feature profanity . The album was released on 22 November 2019 and accompanied by a double concert at the Amman Citadel in Jordan. The performance was broadcast live on YouTube , being carried out at sunrise and sunset to match the album’s two halves.
