The band toured in the spring of 2026 with Emery and Watashi Wa as support. On August 18, 2026, Anberlin announced their ninth studio album Currency , their first with Mullins as lead vocalist, supported by the lead single “Neverafter”. With this announcement it was confirmed that Christian had fully departed the band, and Mullins would assume the full-time role as the band’s lead vocalist.
