In a March 2022 interview with The Guardian , Wilson addressed the band’s future, stating that he was unsure whether this would be the final project by the band or if the reunion would continue past the album. He then stated it was most likely their last album, as he hoped to end the band on a strong note. In a late June 2022 interview with Under the Radar, however, Wilson expressed his interest in making another Porcupine Tree record that would be more keyboard dominant.
