The band began a tour to celebrate their 30th anniversary in February 2025. All dates are in Canada. On the first night of their 30th Anniversary Tour in Calgary, the band played “Whatever” live for the first time in 22 years after deciding it was time for them to “reclaim the song”. The band had not played the song due to its connection to professional wrestler Chris Benoit , who was using the song as his entrance theme in WWE at the time of his double-murder and suicide . The band released a re-recorded version of the song called “Whatever (Redux)” in July and announced that all of the revenue made from the song will be donated to suicide prevention initiatives.
