In September 2023, the band announced they would undertake a tour of the UK, Europe and America in 2024 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Hopes and Fears . The tour commenced in May, coinciding with the album’s reissue, and continued on until December of that year.
On 1 September 2023, the band released a commemorative orchestral rendition of “Pompeii”, collaborating with composer Hans Zimmer on the project. Titled “Pompeii MMXXIII”, the release of the song coincided with the 10th anniversary of the track’s original release in 2013.
The first single – the title track “Danse Macabre” – was released on 30 August 2023. The second single, “Black Moonlight”, followed on 21 September.
