On 21 October 2014, Bastille announced their third mixtape, VS. (Other People’s Heartache, Pt.III) with the release of their song “Torn Apart”, featuring the artists Grades and Lizzo , on Zane Lowe ‘s BBC Radio 1 show.
On 8 October 2014, the band announced Live in Berlin , the new video and audio release filmed and recorded at the O2 World in Berlin, Germany in November 2013 during the Delta Machine Tour.
During an A-ha fan convention in Oslo in October 2014, manager Harald Wilk announced plans to re-release A-ha’s first five albums on vinyl and albums three through five as deluxe editions.
In October 2014 the band announced that their dates in the UK and Europe through October/November and Japan/South America in January 2015 would be their “last headline tour”. The band’s publicist was unable to confirm whether this meant the band were splitting up or not.
In October 2014, the band reconvened in Scotland to work on their fifth album. During a session supporting Andy Burrows on Jo Wiley’s Radio 2 show, Tom Smith confirmed the album’s songs had been written.
On 2 September the band signed to Mute Records .
In September 2014, they released the last single from Bad Blood , ” Oblivion “.
The album was recognized as one of The 100 Best Albums of the Decade So Far, a list published by Pitchfork in August 2014.
On 13 July 2014, Bastille played at T in the Park .
In July, the group toured North America, where they debuted another song, “Plastic”.
