On May 27, 2008, three days before the band embarked on their annual summer tour, it was announced that keyboardist Butch Taylor , who had toured with the band since 2001, had decided to leave the band.
The band went on a tour, entitled Tour 2008 L’7: Trans Asia via Paris, which covered several major Asian cities, as well as Paris , France . On this tour, a live show hiatus until 2011 was announced, although new material would still continue to be released.
On November 6, 2008, the band announced the departure of Warren, despite having unfulfilled concert dates. Initially, the band intended to honor their remaining dates, and announced Chris Shinn of Unified Theory as lead vocalist for the remainder of their tour.
