The Renaissance tour was held from January 26 to February 5, 2017, and marked their return to Europe.
The band’s tenth album, AFI (also known as The Blood Album ), was released on January 20, 2017. Puget served as the main producer. The album peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200. Other singles were released, including “Aurelia” and “Hidden Knives”.

On January 19, 2017, the band released a new single to coincide with Donald Trump ‘s presidential inauguration entitled “I Give You Power”. The song featured guest vocals from singer Mavis Staples . The proceeds were donated to the American Civil Liberties Union .
On January 17, 2017, it was announced that Audioslave would reunite for their first show in 12 years at Prophets of Rage ‘s Anti-Inaugural Ball, protesting President Donald Trump ‘s inauguration .
