In 2016, Bullet for My Valentine announced that drummer Michael Thomas would sit out for a few months to be with his wife as they were expecting their first child. Jason Bowld, former drummer of Pitchshifter and Tuck’s bandmate from AxeWound, became Thomas’ replacement.
Later in the year, the band released a new single titled “Don’t Need You”. A music video was released with the video as well.
In the summer, coldrain embarked on a tour across the United States (playing at Monster Energy South Stage) as a part of Vans Warped Tour .
