In December 2004, at a gig in Los Angeles the band played the Police hits ” De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da “, ” Message in a Bottle ” and ” Roxanne ” with Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers from the former band.
Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat was produced and recorded by John Travis and was co-produced by frontman Brett Detar. The album was recorded at Seedy Underbelly Studios, Valley Village California between November and December 2004 and also at Studio 66 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania between the months of December 2004 and January 2005.
Tony Visconti helped the band produce three songs on the album, which was followed by a UK arena tour in December 2004.
The four then released a year-end video DVD, izō Sakuhinshū Vol. 1 on November 26.
