In March 2020 the band came under criticism from both the public and medical professionals for playing two gigs on the 14th and 15 March at the Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena while COVID-19 cases were steadily increasing in the UK. In the week prior to the event, a Six Nations match featuring Wales vs Scotland was cancelled due to COVID concerns, as was a Cardiff City football match versus Leeds United . The shows were the last major music event to take place in Wales, with the first COVID-19 lockdowns being implemented in England and Wales on March 23.
