On April 1, 2009, the band posted a fake “making of” video that was filmed on the set of “Black Heart Inertia”. In the video, Brandon and his double “swapped places”. Brandon fetched coffee for his double, and his double also imitated Christian Bale when the DP annoyed him, shouting at and violently chasing him out off of the set. After the short film, the first full stream of “Black Heart Inertia” was uploaded, clocking in at 4:17. On April 2, the full song was streamed on the band’s official site. The song peaked at No. 7 on the Alternative Songs chart.
