On April 30, the band released their single, ” Rebel Girl “. The release confirmed the band’s current line-up of DeLonge, Kennedy, and Rubin, with no explanation for Wachter’s absence being given. Following the release, the band announced a 23-date North American tour, which would feature former Taking Back Sunday bassist, Matt Rubano, in Wachter’s place. The band played their first live show in seven years on August 28, 2019, in Solana Beach, California , where they also debuted another new song, ” Kiss & Tell “, before releasing it the next day.
