The Gods We Can Touch was released in January 2022 and received critical acclaim. It achieved significant commercial success in the Greater China region, reaching 350 million streams; it also reached number one in Norway for the first time since her debut album and secured her first top-10 entry in the UK, later selling over 20,000 copies in the country. Two other singles from the album were released to precede the record: ” Heathens ” in December 2021 and ” A Dangerous Thing ” in January 2022.
