In January 2016, the band stated that new material, presumably its third album, would be released in 2016. On 4 April 2016, the band announced the completion of its third studio album, Gameshow , via Twitter after announcing previously that it would be at Glastonbury in the summer. Prior to the completion of the album, Two Door Cinema Club had played one of the songs named “Gameshow” from the album at a concert in Boston.
