On 12 January 2022, the band was announced as one of the competing entrants in the Finnish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 , with the song ” Jezebel ” written by Ylönen and Desmond Child . The band stated in an interview that their decision to participate was due to the COVID-19 pandemic cancelling all of their tours and performances, try something new, and allow the group to bond even more. The release marks also the first Rasmus song with new guitarist Emilia “Emppu” Suhonen, who replaced longtime guitarist and founding member Pauli Rantasalmi, who left for personal reasons.
