The band recorded a cover of the Undertones ‘ ” Teenage Kicks ” for the album Radio 1: Established 1967 , a 2007 compilation album of cover versions celebrating the fortieth anniversary of BBC Radio 1 , a song noted to be a favourite of the influential late Radio 1 DJ John Peel . the Raconteurs are also the only act on the album to have covered a song and have one of their own songs covered, with British R&B singer Corinne Bailey Rae (of ” Put Your Records On ” fame), having covered the band’s debut single ” Steady, As She Goes ” as the album’s closing track.
