began work on next album

With the massive success of ok computer radiohead decided to get a barn in oxfordshire and turned it into their own recording studio. They made a start on their next album with Godrich back in early 1999 and spent some time in studios in Paris, copenhagen & gloucester before their new studio was up & running. Although they were flying high success-wise and their record label was no longer breathing down their necks , tensions started to rise . The band members had pretty different ideas about the direction radiohead should be heading in – and yorke was suffering from writers block – which in turn led him to get all abstract & fragmented with his songwriting. O’brien kept a bit of a diary about their progress on the album. almost 18 months later recording was finally wrapped up in April 2000
